I think this quote is great at stating three building blocks of America: Truth, Freedom, and Religion. Today I listened to Glenn Beck and he talked about how the problem with America today is not necessarily with parties blaming each other for problems. He said it is because there are to many people who are godless and evil. He asked Americans to get back to believing in God and he said no matter what religion you belong, it needs to be one that doesn't hate others or desires to do evil to fellow men.

The final downfall of ALL major people (Jerusalem, Nephites, etc.) was that they became evil and turned away from God.

That's why he is being persucuted so much because people are listening to him.
